I was impressed with my GF burger! The bin was good and not too thick, it was soft and really complemented the burger. My boys all had french fries and said they were the best fries ever! Also, staff members were on top of table turnover!! Tables were cleaned and ready to go within a minute or 2 max after other customers left. Would totally encourage you to go and try this place out!!
Overview
Nestled at 1200 Wake Towne Dr, Raleigh, NC 27609, United States, The Burger Bar By Wegmans isn’t your average burger joint. It’s the kind of place where the aroma of sizzling patties hits you the second you walk in, and every bite tells a story of freshness and quality. I’ve been there multiple times, and each visit feels like discovering a new favorite dish all over again. What sets it apart isn’t just the food-it’s the energy, the warmth, and the unmistakable pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen.
During my first visit, I tried the classic cheeseburger, perfectly seared on the outside yet tender and juicy inside. The buns, lightly toasted and slightly buttery, complemented the locally sourced beef so well it felt like a chef’s masterstroke. The fries? Crisp and golden, with just the right amount of salt to keep you reaching for more. If you’re into something a little more adventurous, the truffle burger and the house-made veggie burger are absolute must-tries. The menu isn’t enormous, but every item has a purpose-each dish crafted with care rather than filler options meant to impress by size.
Wegmans, known for its commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients, brings that same reputation here. According to the company’s food sourcing standards, Wegmans works with trusted regional farms to ensure their meats are antibiotic-free and their produce meets sustainable growing practices. This isn’t just marketing talk; it’s a genuine reflection of how the brand’s values extend into every dish at the Burger Bar. You can taste the difference-literally-in the balance of flavor and freshness.
The layout of the restaurant feels casual yet thoughtful. From the open grill where you can watch chefs work their magic to the cozy booths and bar stools that invite conversation, everything feels intentionally designed. It’s the kind of spot perfect for a quick solo lunch or a laid-back evening with friends. There’s a certain buzz in the air, fueled by friendly staff who genuinely enjoy what they do. When I chatted with one of the servers, she mentioned how most of the ingredients arrive fresh daily from the adjoining Wegmans market, allowing the kitchen to maintain consistent quality and freshness.
Beyond the burgers, the menu features milkshakes that deserve their own fan club. The chocolate malt, for instance, delivers that nostalgic diner feel, while the seasonal options-like pumpkin spice in the fall or strawberry cream in the summer-keep things interesting. Pair that with a side of sweet potato fries or onion rings, and you’ve got yourself a complete meal worth savoring.
Local reviews echo what many regulars already know: this place nails the art of simplicity done right. According to several Raleigh food blogs and customer feedback sites, diners consistently praise the restaurant’s combination of quick service and restaurant-quality taste. One review even compared it favorably to some of Raleigh’s top gourmet burger spots, pointing out that it manages to deliver premium flavor without the premium price tag. That balance of quality and accessibility is something Wegmans has long been recognized for by food industry experts, including mentions in publications like Food & Wine and Consumer Reports.
What makes this spot particularly special is the sense of community it builds. You’ll often see local families stopping in after grocery shopping, coworkers grabbing a casual lunch, or travelers finding a comforting meal in an unfamiliar city. It’s an experience that blends convenience with craftsmanship-a hallmark of good dining that goes beyond the menu.
If you’ve ever wondered what makes a great burger joint tick, it’s not just the ingredients or recipes-it’s the feeling you get when everything comes together effortlessly. And that’s exactly what happens at The Burger Bar By Wegmans. Fresh, flavorful, friendly, and just a little indulgent, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back before you’ve even finished your first bite.

These burgers are one of the top 10 burgers I've had. Absolutely loved the Classic, and it sucks there aren't any Wegmans in Ohio! Are these burgers expensive? Yes they are but it's worth trying at least once. Highly recommended. Note: Although if you have food allergies I'd be wary, as they have seafood on the menu and they cannot guarantee there will not be any cross contamination. I decided it was worth the risk and downed a benadryl afterwards. Not gonna lie, I have zero regrets.
